2027 AGC Annual Convention
One-Page Proposal Submission Guide
What we are looking for
• Interactive, practical learning experiences—not lectures or product demos
• Sessions built for a clearly defined attendee persona
• Real-world contractor examples, peer exchange, and usable takeaways
• New ideas and voices, especially sessions that resonate with mid-level managers and project managers
Choose one session format
• Learning Lab (2.5–3 hours): deep-dive, hands-on session with a concrete deliverable
• Workshop (90 minutes): skill-building with guided practice
• Breakout Session (60 minutes): practical insights with interaction throughout
• Plenary Session (45–60 minutes): broad, high-impact topic for a larger audience
Choose one primary attendee persona
• Foundations: students and entry-level professionals
• Project Execution: mid-level managers, project managers, and rising leaders
• Operational Leadership: safety, HR, risk, and operations leaders
• Strategy & Enterprise: CEOs, owners, presidents, and senior executives
Your proposal should answer these questions
• What real-world challenge does this session solve?
• Why is this topic important for your selected audience right now?
• How will attendees participate—not just listen?
• What will attendees leave with or be able to do as a result?
Proposal checklist
• Clear title and short abstract
• Primary persona and session format selected
• Four learning objectives
• Audience engagement plan
• Participant takeaway or deliverable
• Presenter bios and headshots
• Contractor co-presenter included when applicable
Important requirements
• Sessions must be educational and non-promotional
• All presenters must be available to present in person
• Maximum of four presenters, including a moderator
• Selected speakers must sign an AGC Speaker Agreement and meet all deadlines
Helpful tips
The strongest proposals are specific, audience-centered, and practical. Tell us what problem you are solving, how participants will engage, and what they will take back to work.
AGC is committed to a program that reflects the full breadth of our membership. We encourage proposals from contractors of all sizes and regions, and we actively want to hear from rising and mid-level professionals — not just C-suite executives — as presenters and panelists. A strong program features a range of company types, career stages, and perspectives.
